:30, september 14th. welcome jennifer hill to the bay area. she has a look at the forecast. >> good morning, everybody. it was a little cold yesterday and will be a little bit warmer today. low clouds will burn off earlier than they did yesterday. we are looking at the 8:00 a.m. forecast. 56 in livermore and 54 in fairfield. patchy fog in the forecast in the morning hours. as we get into the noon hour, 73 degrees in concord and clearing happening along the way itself. happening earlier than yesterday and temperatures will be warmer. as we head towards 4:00, temperatures near 80. cool in the evening and back into the 70s for fairfield. 75 degrees for napa and 75 for san jose. we will see some clouds towards the specific, but clearing towards san francisco and santa cruz will see 67 for a high. i know it's my first day, but talking about rain. we are looking at showers on friday. the north bay and possibly getting as far south as san mateo and it's for the weekend. not my fault! >> happy first day. mike? >> hardly my first day, but i won't talk about rain. we will leave it to jennifer. we are

, everyone. i'm scott mcgrew. it is 4:30. we start the day with jennifer hill in for rob. jennifer, i got a look at your weather maps. i saw the word "cold." it was there somewhere. >> i can't believe you were peeking before everything starts! this morning, unfortunately, it's not cold or cool in livermore or concord. we're still seeing temperatures in the upper 60s, 70 in oakland but we have seen some cooling along the coastline. today things are really going to start to pick up in terms of that onshore breeze to start to cool us down. once that comes onshore we'll notice those temperatures getting much cooler. probably colder as we get towards the end of the week. noon temperature 74 fremont, 84 livermore and 64 in san francisco. >>> let's turn to mike starting off on the nimitz. >> surprise. something going on on the nimitz overnight. we had an accident right around high street. chp has just been notified they need to assist caltrans in picking some of the cones up northbound at 23rd heading through downtown but that means the construction zone there is clearing up. we'll take a look a

to weather and jennifer king of the hill hill. >> speaking of weather, we broke a lot of records yesterday. some of us will see a cool down, but in the east bay that's not going to happen. 96 degrees at noon and 96 in livermore and 95 in concord and 90 in fremont. the forecast highs, we will see a sea breeze, but inland it's going to be another hot day. 102 in fairfield and 105 in livermore and 102 in concord. we should see a cool down and thankfully it is coming sooner rather than later. i couldn't turn down the heat too much. >> it would be a good day to spare the air, but you don't want to ride your bike in the heat. >> we want to find alternate transportation, but lower the activity because of the air quality. we will focus on the people who are stuck. you have a van that got sideways. no injuries reported. one lane is blocked as you head through oakland. westbound is the morning commute that takes effect in about a half hour. looking nice right now and eastbound we have the construction in towards livermore out of pleasanton. no major slowing and 680 we will see the slowing over towar

:01. we want to check in with jennifer hill and take a look at still a pretty warm day but we're headed to the cooler section now. >> yes, finally we're sliding down and getting some cooler air coming into the region. also some reports of low clouds. yes, some clouds are back and high clouds down around santa cruz. 69 degrees the forecast temperature in oakland, 75 in santa rosa. 83 in fairfield. instead of the 90s happening at noon, they'll happen at 4:00. 94 in livermore, 80 in san rafael. san francisco getting the cooldown early with a 68-degree temperature and 75 in santa cruz. coming up we'll take a look at the weekend outlook. >> that's a pretty big change temperaturewise. we have a change on the roadway not quite so significant but a rolling traffic break starting around the coliseum heading up through downtown and ending by about 23rd, maybe up towards broadway because they're picking up cone zones on the northbound side. southbound side construction likely to pick up the next half hour or so. a live look at the bay bridge. light volume and no problems. a clear view here but as
